A winning team
He draws a comparison with a football team: “If I were to go and work for a different club, I would take my best players with me. And Sapito's consultants are very good - they are my fixed assets. Not only do they know all the 'ins and outs' of SAP, but they also know how I like a project to be run. They work with me, accept me, and supply the high-quality SAP knowledge that my projects require. They have never let me down.”
Continuing until they find the right solution
Bert sees other advantages too: “Another advantage is that Sapito offers a number of good consultants at a single address. Because SAP is an integrated system, it is great that they can see the total picture. They contribute top quality to the organisation for which they work. You might be tempted to try to meet all your requirements from within your own organisation, and SAP offers ways in which you can do so - not necessarily the same ways, but possibly just as good or even better. Sapito is very good in finding solutions that are standard, yet at the same time meet a company's requirements.”
Sapito's consultants have a thorough knowledge of SAP Retail, which they acquired at SAP Retail in Germany and elsewhere. But that in itself does not explain the breadth and depth of their knowledge. “They have the capability of making new developments their own. They don't give up but instead carry on, continuing until they find the right solution. And I am convinced that they would recommend the right solution, even if it wasn't SAP.”
“Not just specialists, but all-rounders too.
That makes them strong team players.”
That makes them strong team players.”
“The consultants you want to have in your team.”
Bert cites two examples to illustrate how Sapito focuses on finding solutions. “We were trying to find an SAP-based way to exchange information between V&D and the external service providers who distribute the goods and press V&D clothing. At the start you sit scratching your head for a while: not everybody finds SAP easy to understand, but surely there must be a solution that everybody can work with? And then they come up with an idea.
No more difficult SAP transactions: the pressers can simply find out online when the goods will be arriving, where they need to be sent, and how they are to be treated. Sapito's strength is in finding quick, pragmatic solutions that everybody can understand. Another example is the way in which they were able to propose solutions to make the most of our existing scanners. And it's worth noting that those scanners don't even belong to the SAP package. Sapito is also willing to suggest solutions that don't fall under the SAP umbrella. They are like a substitute who can play in any position. Their ability to set priorities and to go for it make them extremely flexible. Sapito's consultants are not just specialists, but all-rounders too. That makes them strong team players.”
What could Sapito do better?
“I don't think that Sapito needs to change anything. I think they should remain a 'niche player' in the market. I hope that they always stay focused on quality. If they grow, they should be selective, choosing only people who meet the same exceptional standards as the four current members. More of the same, please!”
